Ryan Basen reports for MedPage鈥檚 enterprise & investigative team. He has worked as a journalist for nearly two decades -- earning Associated Press Sports Editors and N.C. Press Assoc. awards for investigations he led, and Regional Murrow awards for sports health news reporting. A former staff writer with the Charlotte Observer, Ryan has also produced pieces for the New York Times, Washington Post, Baltimore Sun, and NPR affiliate WFAE-FM. Ryan earned a master's in journalism from the University of Maryland and a bachelor of arts from Washington University (St. Louis).
